The Governmental Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) can be found in §63G-2 of Utah State Code. Simply put, GRAMA are the laws that pertain to the management of government records. These laws attempt to balance the citizen’s right to access government information/records, with an individual’s constitutional rights of privacy when the requested record contains personal data.
Special Note: The Office of the Property Rights Ombudsman has provided funding for this training program from the 1% surcharge on all building permits in the State of Utah.
